PowerSSO-24 CMOS compatible inputs Open drain status outputs Description On-state open load detection The VNQ830PEP-E is a monolithic device made Off-state open load detection using STMicroelectronics VIPower M0-3 Technology. The VNQ830PEP-E is intended for Shorted load protection driving any type of multiple load with one side Undervoltage and overvoltage shutdown connected to ground. Loss of ground protection The Active V pin voltage clamp protects the CC Very low standby current device against low energy spikes (see ISO7637 (a) Reverse battery protection transient compatibility table). In compliance with the 2002/95/EC european Active current limitation combined with thermal directive shutdown and automatic restart protects the device against overload. The device detects the open load condition in both the on and off-state. In the off-state the device detects if the output is shorted to V . The device automatically turns off CC in the case where the ground pin becomes disconnected. a. See Application schematic on page 16 Table 1.
