The SKT 40/08 D is a power module made by Semikron. It is part of the family of SKiiP IGBT power modules. It is an advanced system solution for motor drives and other applications where enhanced performance is required. It offers an extremely versatile range of features, such as a 3-level structure for extremely low turn-off resistance, a low thermal resistance across the whole switching area, a fast and precise current limit, regenerative braking, and an integrated rectifier protection circuit. The module has an advanced power dissipation capability, allowing it to handle currents up to 400A. In addition, the module comes with an integrated heat sink and low stray inductance, providing improved energy efficiency and a high degree of insulation resistance.
