MP3414 1.8A,1MHz, Synchronous, Step-up Converter with Output Disconnect The Future of Analog IC Technology FEATURES DESCRIPTION Up to 96% Efficiency The MP3414 is a high-efficiency, synchronous, 0.8V Low Voltage Start-Up currentmode, step-up converter with output 0.6V-to-4V Input Range disconnect. 1.8V-to-4V Output Range The MP3414 can start up from an input voltage Internal Synchronous Rectifier as low as 0.8V to provide inrush current limiting, 1MHz Fixed-Frequency Switching and output short-circuit protection. The 35 A Quiescent Current integrated, P-channel, synchronous rectifier 1 A Shutdown Current improves efficiency and eliminates the need for Current-Mode Control with Internal an external Schottky diode. The PMOS Compensation disconnects the output from the input when the True Output Disconnect from Input part shuts down. This output disconnect feature V >V Down Mode Operation IN OUT allows the output to be completely discharged, High Efficiency under Light-Load Conditions thus allowing the part to draw a 1 A supply Very Small External Components current in shutdown mode. Inrush Current Limiting and Internal Soft- The 1MHz switching frequency allows for Start smaller external components, while the internal Over-Voltage Protection compensation and the soft-start minimize the Short-Circuit Protection external component count: these feature help to TSOT23-8 Package produce a compact solution for a wide current APPLICATIONS load range.
