MP2908A 4V-60V Input, Current Mode, Synchronous Step-Down Controller The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP2908A is a high-voltage, synchronous Wide 4V to 60V Operating Input Range step-down controller that directly steps down Dual N-Channel MOSFET Driver voltages from up to 60V. The MP2908A uses 0.8V Voltage Reference with 1.5% PWM current control architecture with accurate Accuracy Over Temperature cycle-by-cycle current limiting and is capable of Low Dropout Operation: Maximum Duty driving dual N-channel MOSFETs. Cycle at 99.5% Programmable Frequency Range: 100kHz - Advanced asynchronous mode (AAM) enables 1000kHz non-synchronous operation to optimize light- External Sync Clock Range: 100kHz- load efficiency. 1000kHz The operating frequency of the MP2908A can 180 Out-of-Phase SYNCO be programmed by an external resistor or Programmable Soft Start synchronized to an external clock for noise- Power Good Output Voltage Monitor sensitive applications. Full protection features Selectable Cycle-by-Cycle Current Limit include precision output over-voltage protection Output Over-Voltage Protection (OVP) (OVP), output over-current protection (OCP), Over-Current Protection (OCP) and thermal shutdown.
