MP2953B Digital Multi-Phase Controller with PMBus Interface for VR12.5 The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP2953B is a digital multi-phase controller 6-Phase Digital PWM Controller that provides power for the core of the INTEL Intels VR12.5 Compliant VR12.5 platform. It works with MPS Intelli- PMBus Compliant Phase products to complete the multi-phase VR Serial VID Interface for Programming and solution with minimal external components. It Monitoring can be configured for 1 ~ 6 phase operation. Pin Programmable SVID registers Built-In EEPROM to Store Custom The MP2953B provides on-chip EEPROM to Configurations store and restore device configurations. Device Automatic Loop Compensation configurations and fault parameters are easy to program or monitor using the PMBus interface. Less External Components than The MP2953B monitors and reports the output Conventional Analog Controllers current through CS output from Intelli-Phase Phase-Shedding at Light Load to Provide products. High Efficiency Phase-to-Phase Active Current Balancing The MP2953B is based on a unique digital Input and Output Voltage, Current, and multi-phase, non-linear control to provide fast Power Monitoring transient response to load transient with Regulator Temperature Monitoring minimal output capacitors.
