The TSOP98656 with Infrared Receivers Minicast 56kHz AGC6 manufactured by Vishay is a small, low-power infrared (IR) receiver module that can receive signals from remote controls and other IR sources. The module includes a receiving matched TSOP98656 IR receiver and a Minicast AGC6 amplifying transmitter. The module is designed for use in consumer electronic and home automation applications. It features low power consumption, high sensitivity and sensitivity, low threshold levels and wide operational range. The maximum operational range is up to 1.5m. The module has a built-in AGC6 amplifier which improves the signal to noise ratio and enhances the sensitivity. The module can detect frequencies ranging from 30 kHz to 56 kHz. The module is provided in a low-profile, J-lead surface-mount package.
