It is intended for driving resistive or Diagnostic functions inductive loads with one side connected to Proportional load current sense ground. Active V pin voltage clamp protects the CC High current sense precision for wide range device against low energy spikes (see ISO7637 currents transient compatibility table). This device Current sense disable integrates an analog current sense which delivers Thermal shutdown indication a current proportional to the load current (according to a known ratio) when CS DIS is Very low current sense leakage driven low or left open. When CS DIS is driven Protections high, the CURRENT SENSE pin is in a high Undervoltage shutdown impedance condition. Output current limitation Overvoltage clamp protects the device in overload condition. In case Output stuck to Vcc detection of long overload duration, the device limits the dissipated power to safe level up to thermal Load current limitation shutdown intervention. Thermal shutdown with Self limiting of fast thermal transients automatic restart allows the device to recover Protection against loss of ground and loss normal operation as soon as fault condition of V CC disappears.
