The L6562ADTR from STMicroelectronics is a Power Factor Correction (PFC) controller in a SO8 package with a power rating of 650mW and an operating voltage range of 10.5V to 22.5V. It is designed to control boost converters with an input voltage of up to 900V, thus allowing high-power applications to meet PFC regulations. This PFC controller features a dimmable version, programmable soft-start time, programmable double-pulse overload protection, and a wide-range operating frequency to optimize efficiency for mid-power applications. The controller is available in a reel, tape package for automated mounting and soldering processes.
