The L6563HTR with Power Factor Correction (PFC) is a 700V 6mA Start-Up Transition-Mode PFC developed by STMicroelectronics. This device integrates a PFC control, start up circuits, a low power dissipation MOSFET current limit and a DC/DC system for the auxiliary power supply for PFC control on one chip. The device is capable of driving high current MOSFTs for output power ranges from 25W up to 200W. By adjusting the PFC control loop, the L6563HTR can be configured to achieve high power factor performance at any output voltage and/or current level. It features an adaptive zero-voltage switching system which improves light load efficiency without compromising the PFC performance, frequency synchronization function and short-circuit protection, and it can be used in various AC/DC converters such as desktop PC adapters, LED drivers, battery chargers and other consumer power supplies.
