The FAN65008B with Switching Controllers WIDE VIN 8A 70V BUCK manufactured by ON Semiconductor is a high-efficiency, dual-channel, synchronous buck converter. This device includes two step-down switching controllers with a wide-voltage input range of 6V to 70V and an output current of up to 8A. These controllers are designed to operate in a continuous or discontinuous conduction mode, allowing for higher efficiency at higher output current and lower output voltage. The high-side and low-side FETs are also integrated onto this IC, allowing for an optimized design footprint and reduced bill-of-materials. Other features of this IC include an adjustable soft-start, input under-voltage lockout, output over-current protection, and over-temperature protection. This device is an ideal solution for powering high-current, low-voltage applications.
