The NXP BT168GW,115 is a monolithic low-power CMOS silence detection integrated circuit. It is designed to sense sound and ambient noise and to generate an alarm signal if the detected sound or noise level exceeds the preset threshold level. The BT168GW,115 can be used in various applications such as audio/video signal detection, machine control, commerce supervision and other audio/video surveillance applications. The device can detect signal levels up to 180 dB and is accurate to within ± 1 dB. It has a low current consumption of only 6.5 mA, making it ideal for power-sensitive applications. The BT168GW,115 also features an active low output signal for noise detection and a high output signal for sound detection.
