The Nexperia 74HCT109D.652 is an 8-bit binary ripple counter. It is based on the 74HCT logic family and is compatible with TTL logic levels. It is made up of an 8-stage binary counter and has two separate clock inputs which can be used to divide either the first or the second stage by two. The outputs from each stage are available from the pins QA to QH. This device features synchronous operation, meaning that the outputs all change simultaneously when a level transition is detected on either of the clocks. It is a low-power device, with a maximum active power dissipation of just 400 mW. The Nexperia 74HCT109D.652 is a great component for timing and frequency division applications and is available in SOIC or DIP packages.
