The Nexperia 74HC40103PW.112 is a ripple carry binary counter IC. It is a high speed, low-power integrated circuit designed to count and store a digital number. This device consists of four master-slave flip-flops connected in cascade and is designed to count in four-bit binary-coded decimal form, with each flip-flop producing one count pulse on the corresponding output. The device is designed to reset to the highest count state when the reset input is taken low and can be used to count from 0 to 9 in decimals, or from 0 to 15 in hexadecimal. The input to the counter is the clock signal, and the outputs are triggered on the rising edge of the clock.
