MPM3830 6V Input, 3A Module Synchronous Step-Down Converter with Integrated Inductor The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MPM3830 is a step-down module Wide 2.7V to 6V Operating Input Range converter with built-in power MOSFETs and Adjustable Output from 0.6V inductor. The DC-DC module comes in a small 3.0mm x 5.0mm x 1.6mm QFN Package surface-mount QFN-20(3mm x 5mm x 1.6mm) Total Solution Size 8.5mm x 4.5 mm package and achieves 3A continuous output Low Radiated Emissions (EMI) Complies current from a 2.7V to 6V input voltage with with EN55022 Class B Standard excellent load and line regulation. The Up to 3A Continuous Output Current MPM3830 is ideal for powering portable 100% Duty Cycle in Dropout equipment that runs from a single cell Lithium- Ultra Low IQ: 40 A Ion (Li+) Battery. The output voltage is EN and Power Good for Power Sequencing regulated as low as 0.6V. Only FB resistors and Cycle-by-Cycle Over-Current Protection input and output capacitors are needed to Short-Circuit Protection with Hiccup Mode complete the design. Adjustable Output Only Needs 4 External The Constant-on-time control (COT) scheme Components : 2 Ceramic Capacitors and FB provides fast transient response, high light-load Divider Resistors efficiency and easy loop stabilization. APPLICATIONS Fault condition protection includes cycle-by-cycle Low Voltage I/O System Power current limit and thermal shutdown (TSD). LDO Replacement The MPM3830 requires a minimum number of Power for Portable Products readily available standard external components Storage (SSD/HDD) and is available in an ultra-small QFN20 Space-Limited Applications (3mmx5mm) package.
