MP8854 2.85V - 18V, 4A, High-Efficiency, Wide-Input, Synchronous, Step-Down Converter with 2 Integrated Telemetry via I C Interface DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP8854 is a high-frequency, synchronous, Wide 2.85V to 18V Operating Input Range rectified, step-down, switch-mode converter 4A Continuous Output Current 2 with an I C control interface. The MP8854 offers 1% Internal Reference Accuracy a fully integrated solution that achieves 4A of 2 I C Programmable Reference Range from continuous output current with excellent load 0.6V to 1.108V in 4mV Steps with Slew and line regulation over a wide input voltage Rate Control supply range. 5% Accuracy Output Voltage and Output 2 Current Monitoring via I C The output voltage level can be controlled on- 2 Selectable PFM/PWM Mode, Adjustable the-fly through an I C serial interface. The 2 Frequency and Current Limit through I C reference voltage range can be adjusted from 2 Four Different Selectable I C Addresses 0.6V to 1.108V in 4mV steps. The voltage slew rate, frequency, current limit, hiccup/latch-off External Soft Start (SS) protection, enable, and power-save mode Open-Drain Power Good (PG) Indication 2 (PSM) are also selectable through the I C Output Over-Voltage Protection (OVP) interface. Hiccup/Latch-Off Over-Current Protection (OCP) Constant-on-time (COT) control operation VOUT Adjustable up to 5.5V using FB pin provides fast transient response.
