MP6535 5V-to-55V, Three Phase Brushless DC Motor Pre-Driver With Buck Regulator The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP6535 is a gate driver IC designed for Wide 5V to 55V Input Voltage Range three-phase brushless DC motor driver Built-in Hall Sensor Inputs and 120 applications. It is capable of driving three half Commutation Logic bridges consisting of six N-channel power Charge Pump Gate Drive Supply MOSFETs up to 55V. Bootstrap High-Side Driver with Trickle- Charge Circuit Supports 100% Duty Cycle It includes a 500mA buck regulator to generate Operation local power for a microcontroller or other 500mA buck regulator circuitry, Low Power Sleep Mode The MP6535 integrates a regulated charge Programmable Short-Circuit Protection pump to generate gate drive power, and uses a Over-Current Protection bootstrap capacitor to generate a supply Adjustable Dead-Time Control to Prevent voltage for the high-side MOSFET driver. An Shoot-Through internal trickle-charge circuit maintains sufficient Thermal Shutdown and UVLO Protection high-side gate driver voltage even when an Fault Indication Output output is operated at 100% duty cycle Thermally Enhanced Surface-Mount Internal protection features include Package programmable short-circuit protection, over- current protection, adjustable dead-time control, APPLICATIONS undervoltage lockout, and thermal shutdown. 3-Phase Brushless DC Motors and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors The device integrates 120 commutation using Power Drills three Hall sensor inputs. The PWM, DIR, and nBRAKE inputs are used to control motor E-Bike speed, direction, and braking. All MPS parts are lead-free, halogen free, and adhere to the RoHS directive.
