MP3428A 19A, 600kHz, 20V Wide Input Range, Synchronous Boost Converter with Input Disconnect Function The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP3428A is a 600kHz, fixed frequency, 3V to 20V Wide Input Range high-efficiency, wide input range, current-mode Integrated 10m Low-Side Power FET boost converter with optional input disconnect SDR Driver for Synchronous Solution and an input average current limit function. The 19A Internal Switch Current Limit or input disconnect feature provides additional External Programmable Input Current protection by isolating the input from the output Limit during output short or shutdown. For battery- Input Disconnect and Output SCP operated applications, this feature also helps in External Soft Start and Compensation for preventing battery depletion. With a Higher Flexibility programmable input average current limit, the Programmable UVLO and Hysteresis MP3428A supports a wide range of applications, < 1A Shutdown Current including POS, Thunderbolt, Bluetooth Audio, Thermal Shutdown at 150C Power Banks, and Fuel Cells. The MP3428A Available in QFN-22 (3mm x 4mm) features a 10m, 24V power switch and a Package synchronous gate driver for high efficiency. An external compensation pin allows flexibility in APPLICATIONS setting loop dynamics and obtaining optimal Thunderbolt Interface transient performance at all conditions. Notebooks and Tablets The MP3428A includes under-voltage lockout, Bluetooth Audio switching current limiting, and thermal Power Banks shutdown to prevent damage in the event of an Fuel Cells output overload.
