diskdrive
The CP-CMARC70S is a thin-film magnetic head assembly used in the IBM 3370/3375 Winchester disk drive. It is composed of three main parts: an integrated circuit amplifier, a printed circuit board substrate, and an adjacent magnetic head core. The integrated circuit amplifier is a TN3110, which is a current-feedback operational amplifier. This amplifier is responsible for amplifying the electrical signals from the magnetic head core and sending them to the data channels. The printed circuit board substrate contains the signal processing circuits and the electrical connections between the amplifier and data channels. The magnetic head core consists of an iron core, a thin-film layer, and an insulating spacer. This combination enables the part to produce and detect high-frequency signals that are used to read and write data to and from the disk platters.
