The TSOP93440 with Infrared Receivers Minimold 40kHz AGC4 manufactured by Vishay is a low-input-current detector that consists of a phototransistor and a pre-amplifier integrated on a single chip. It is designed for use in infrared remote control systems and is able to detect signals transmitted in a frequency range of 30 - 40kHz. The AGC4 feature allows the detector to automatically adjust its sensitivity to the incoming signal intensity, while the built-in exposure filter protects against exposure to ambient light. The Minimold package allows for a compact form factor and the device is rated for operation at temperatures of 10 - 125 °C.
