The SFH6316T is a GaAs infrared emitter diode from Vishay, which features an industry-standard 3 mm (T-1) package and a narrow viewing angle of 15°. This LED emitter is ideal for a variety of applications including motion detection, object detection, and range finding. With a peak wavelength of 940 nm, this device is capable of producing a high-intensity infrared output of up to 300 mW/sr. It has a maximum forward current of 100 mA, as well as reverse voltage of 5 V, and low responsivity of 0.45 A/W. The SFH6316T is also RoHS compliant, and can operate at up to + 85°C.
