The PTC305C12 part of Vishay is a polymer positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) device. It is a resettable fuse that is used to provide overcurrent protection in electronic circuits. It is designed to provide continuous and reliable overcurrent protection of up to 12A by overheating and self-resetting when the temperature is reduced. This component comes in a 0402 footprint and is hermetically sealed for robust performance. It has an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and is RoHS compliant.
