The WMZ12A-83LB(30-60)AP025B3.2-E6B PTC thermistors manufactured by Tyohm are through-hole, RoHS-compliant components consisting of two leads and a disc-shaped sensing element. The thermistors improve on traditional thermal protection devices by testing their own operation and eliminating the need for manual contact. When temperature increases, the PTC thermistor reacts with a dramatic increase in resistance with minimal ground reference current.
