The series 1 and 8 are also used for continues control of temperature sensitive products. The indication of the temperature remains unchanged even if/when the surface temperature decreases. Therefore these labels are popular to use when a quality claim is being processed. With these labels it is much easier to determine if a machine has been misused in a way that has led to an overheating of the equipment. Common applications: Monitoring of transportation and distribution of temperature sensitive products Facilitate evidence of maintained customer specified temperature Post process evidence of overheating for quality claim issues Visual warning sign for the user in a work environment if temperature limits are exceeded. If the indicator labels will be used in an environment in which they are exposed to oil or, in other ways, aggressive conditions, we recommend the labels to be sealed on a clean and dry surface with one or multiple layers of clear epoxy When storing the indicators, make sure that the storage temperature is above 0 C not below freezing temperature. To give an optimal adhesion the surface needs to be dry and clean. Please be aware that if the indicator label is touched during the summer months, there is a risk of activatng the indicator label, especially if the temperature in the environment where the label is placed is at 29 C or there about.
