The TPS7B7701QPWPRQ1 is a low-dropout voltage regulator from Texas Instruments designed for off-battery applications operating from a 40 volt source. It packs an impressive 300mA power output with low quiescent current. It can output adjustable voltages between 1.5V to 5V through external resistors with a fixed ripple rejection of 57dB That ensures the stability of the output voltage even in noisy power conditions. It also has an active discharge circuit that ensures output capacitors are discharged quickly and safely for a rapid system shutdown. Additionally, the TPS7B7701QPWPRQ1 has built-in protection against short circuits and reverse battery connections. The package is 16-HTSSOP, which can operate over a wide temperature range of -40 to 125 degrees Celsius.
