The SN74HC125PWR is a medium-speed quad bus buffer/line driver with 3-state outputs manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is designed for 2.7-V to 5.5-V VCC operation, and it has Schmitt triggers input buffers on the A and B ports and 3-state outputs on the Y ports. The device contains four independent gates that provide buffering and line-driver function for bus-oriented applications. The outputs can be disabled (three-state) by using the buffer-enable logic inputs. When the device outputs are enabled, they remain in the last logic state regardless of the inputs. This device is designed to minimize system power requirements by eliminating the active pullup or pulldown current typically required for bus interface. The SN74HC125PWR also supports very low-voltage (VCC = 2.7 V) operation. The device can be used as two 8-bit buffers, two 4-bit buffers, or one 8-bit bus transceiver.
