The SN74AHCT14D is a quad Schmitt-trigger inverter manufactured by Texas Instruments. This part is designed to accept standard TTL input signals, with low power consumption and can operate over an extended voltage range which makes it suitable for these applications: logic conversion, clock and timing control, signal conditioning, signal switching, and signal buffering. This part is designed to offer very high noise immunity and high input impedance, and its propagation delay times are faster than that of standard CMOS devices. Additionally, its Schmitt-trigger action provides filtered inputs for improved noise reduction and faster switching times.
