The SN65LBC179AD RS-485 Interface IC LP Diff Pairs by Texas Instruments is a low power differential line transceiver designed for electronic equipment using RS-485 standard, or with similar multi-point systems where balanced communication lines are used. This device features an on-chip low power Schottky diode for fault-protected bus pins and ESD protection on all pins. The device is available in 8-SOIC and 8-VSSOP packages. Its low power consumption of 400 µA makes it suitable for applications where power is at a premium.
