The LM78L05ACMX from Texas Instruments is an 8-pin SOIC (Small Outline IC) linear voltage regulator with a maximum load current of 100 mA. It provides an output voltage of 30 V and a temperature range from 0 to 125 °C (32 to 257 °F). It features low dropout voltage, low quiescent current, and excellent line and load regulation. Its output voltage can be adjusted from 5 V to 30 V by two external resistors. The device is protected against thermal and overload faults with a current limit circuit and a thermal shutdown circuit. It is designed for applications such as on-board preparation of multiple voltage outputs, post-regulators for switching supplies, and battery-powered systems.
