The LM2931CM/NOPB is an adjustable 3 terminal positive voltage regulator designed to pass a constant current up to 1.5A. It is capable of taking an input voltage of up to 30V and providing an output voltage that is adjustable from 1.2V to 30V. This device is typically used as an output device with an LDO IC, like an LM317 or similar type voltage regulator. The device has an on-board thermal shutdown feature which limits the junction temperature and helps providing an increased safety margin. It is produced by Texas Instruments Inc. and is currently available as a RoHS compliant, lead-free part.
