The DRV8842PWPR with Motor / Motion / Ignition Controllers & Drivers 5A Brushed DC/Half Bipolar Stepper manufactured by Texas Instruments is a high-efficiency single-chip stepper motor driver with integrated MOSFETs to meet the requirements of automotive, robotics, and motion control applications. This device can drive up to 5 A of DC or stepper motor current, while providing full protection against over-temperature, over-current, over-voltage, and under-voltage faults. Embedded hysteresis and smooth current decay enable enhanced torque performance in stepper motor applications, while partial current control in DC applications reduces sound levels. The DRV8842PWPR is compatible with standard logic-level inputs, making it ideal for battery powered applications. This device is available in a 24-pin, HTSSOP PowerPAD package.
