The DP83849CVS is a Physical Layer IC (PHY) from Texas Instruments. It is a single-port, 10/100 Ethernet serial physical layer transceiver with an integrated voltage regulator. The device is compliant to the IEEE 802.3u fully compliant 10BaseT and 100BaseTX protocols, and includes a high-performance integrated analog frontend and digital interface. It contains a Media Independent Interface (MII) along with a Subscriber Access Interface (SAI). The DP83849CVS has an integrated physical-layer voltage and current regulator to minimize component count and minimize the overall power consumption. With a reduced component count and on-board regulators, the DP83849CVS eliminates the need for additional power consumption and design complexity in 10/100/1000 Ethernet systems. It offers improved EMI performance and has low power consumption to meet the stringent power requirements of handheld and battery-powered networking applications. Additionally, it includes segment load test to facilitate diagnostics.
