This TDK part is a surface-mountable low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator with an output range of 2.7V to 5.5V and a maximum output current of 250mA. It is constructed with a N-channel MOSFET and a low-noise, low-dropout linear regulator using an internally trimmed band-gap reference to provide a precise output voltage. It includes over-current protection and reverse current protection, and its thermal protection allows it to shut down safely if it becomes too hot. The device is packaged in an small SOT-89 package.
