The SMD600XM with Discharge Tubes (GDT/TSS) 1812 RoHS manufactured by SURGING is a state-of-the-art surge protection device (SPD) designed to protect sensitive electronic components against damage caused by transient voltage. It provides protection against surge events up to 6000A, reducing the destructive impact of high energy pulses and maximizing the life of critical electrical pathways. The device has been tested to RoHS2 standards and is UL 1449 compliant. It also features an integrated guard thermistor to provide additional protection against rapid temperature changes. The SMD600XM includes two discharge tubes: a transient suppressor (GDT) and a thermal sensitive switch (TSS). The TSS offers very fast response times, while the GDT helps to absorb energy from high-voltage spikes. Together, the two devices offer an unparalleled level of protection against destructive electrical surges.
