The VND5E008AY-E is a device made using STMicroelectronics VIPower MO-5 technology. General: It is intended for driving resistive or inductive Inrush current active management by loads with one side connected to ground. Compliant with European directive 2002/95/EC Fault conditions such as overload, Proportional load current sense overtemperature or open-load are reported via High current sense precision for wide range the current sense pin current Output current limitation protects the device in Very low current sense leakage overload condition. In case of long overload Diagnostic functions: duration, the device limits the dissipated power to safe level up to thermal shutdown intervention. Off-state open-load detection Thermal shutdown with automatic restart allows Current sense disable the device to recover normal operation as soon as Thermal shutdown indication fault condition disappears.
