It is intended for driving resistive or European directive inductive loads with one side connected to Diagnostic functions ground. Active V pin voltage clamp protects the CC Proportional load current sense device against low energy spikes (see ISO7637 High current sense precision for wide range transient compatibility table). This device currents integrates an analog current sense which delivers Current sense disable a current proportional to the load current Thermal shutdown indication (according to a known ratio) when CS DIS is Very low current sense leakage driven low or left open. Thermal shutdown with Protection against loss of ground and loss automatic restart allows the device to recover of V CC normal operation as soon as fault condition Thermal shutdown disappears.
