The L78S05CV is a voltage regulator manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It is a low-dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator that features an output voltage of 5V with a maximum output current of 500mA. The L78S05CV also has short-circuit protection and overload protection. With an input voltage range from 7V to 18V, it is capable of providing a stable 5V power supply for many microcontroller, digital and analog circuits.
