L6739 Single-phase PWM controller with light-load efficiency optimization Datasheet - production data Applications Memory and termination supply Subsystem power supply (MCH, IOCH, PCI) CPU and DSP power supply Distributed power supply General DC-DC converter VFQFPN16 Description The L6739 is a single-phase step-down controller with integrated high current drivers that provides complete control logic and protection to realize Features a DC-DC converter. Flexible power supply from 5 V to 12 V bus The device flexibility allows to manage Power conversion input as low as 1.5 V conversions with power input V as low as 1.5 V IN and the device supply voltage ranging from 5 V to Light-load efficiency optimization 12 V bus. Embedded bootstrap switch The L6739 device features a proprietary algorithm VIN detector that allows light-load efficiency optimization, 0.8 V internal reference boosting efficiency without compromising the 0.5% output voltage accuracy output voltage ripple. Remote GND recovery The integrated 0.8 V reference allows generation of output voltages with 0.5% accuracy over line High current integrated drivers and temperature variations. Sensorless and programmable precise-OC sense across inductor DCR The oscillator is programmable up to 600 kHz. OV protection The L6739 provides a programmable overcurrent protection and overvoltage protection. The current Overtemperature protection information is monitored across the inductor DCR. Programmable oscillator up to 600 kHz The L6739 device is available in a VFQFPN 16 - LS-less to manage pre-bias startup 3 x 3 mm package. Adjustable output voltage Disable function Table 1.
