The STMicroelectronics L6225PD is a low-voltage H-bridge motor driver with a thermal protection circuit. It is designed to be used with stepper, dc or brushless motors. The device includes two internal N-channel power MOSFETs and two phase current sense circuits with a low voltage sense pin for each channel. The device features a wide voltage range operation from 3.5 V to 27 V and can deliver up to 2.5 A of load current. It also features a slew rate compensator and a number of protection features including over current, over temperature, and under voltage lock out. The device can be used for applications such as brushless DC motor drives, stepper motor drives, and DC motor drives.
