The R80W-470R part of SR Passives is a surface mount wire wound resistor. It is a power resistor and is rated up to 1 watt at 85°C. It is constructed of a precision wound ceramic core and an epoxy coated alloy wire. It has a resistance value of 470 ohms and is rated for operation at a continuous temperature of up to 85°C. The resistor is designed for audio tone control applications and also for mains frequency interference suppression.
