The GS2988-INE3 is an Ethernet Transceiver IC from Semtech Corporation. This device integrates a high-speed transceiver, multiple analog front-end blocks, and a host of power and protection elements necessary for modern Ethernet-enabled systems. It has a media access controller (MAC) that is completely compatible with the 1G/10G/100G Ethernet IEEE802.3 standards. It supports different speeds: 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, and 10 Gbps, and it is suitable for use in a variety of networks, including copper-based and fiber-based. The integrated power and protection elements ensure reliable operation and protection against electrostatic discharge and surge. The device also includes various features, such as auto-negotiation, loopback, and LED control. The GS2988-INE3 is an essential component for building modern Ethernet-enabled systems.
