Gas Sensor Module for TVOC ZMOD4410 and Indoor Air Quality Datasheet Description Features The ZMOD4410 Gas Sensor Module is designed for detecting total Sensor output based on AI machine learning algorithmic: volatile organic compounds (TVOC), estimating CO , and 2 Measurement of total organic compounds (TVOC) monitoring indoor air quality (IAQ) in different smell based use concentrations and indoor air quality (IAQ) cases, including very humid and dusty applications with the Module algorithm estimates carbon dioxide level (eCO ) 2 possibility of water spray, condensation, or immersion. It is a 12- Algorithm to set a control signal to trigger an external LGA assembly (3.0 3.0 0.7 mm) that consists of a gas sense action based on IAQ and odor change element and a CMOS signal conditioning IC. The modules sense element consists of heater element on a Si-based MEMS structure Algorithm to discriminate sulfur-based odors and a metal oxide (MOx) chemiresistor. The signal conditioner Heater driver and regulation loop for constant resistance, controls the sensor temperatures and measures the MOx minimizing effect of environmental temperature on signal conductivity, which is a function of the gas concentration. The Customization for mobile, industrial, and consumer 2 measurement results can be read via an I C interface with the applications users microprocessor, which processes the data. 2 I C interface: up to 400kHz The provided firmware enables different ZMOD4410 features Built-in nonvolatile memory (NVM) for module-specific data based on traditional and machine learning algorithms with an Very low average power consumption down to 1.5mW embedded artificial intelligence (AI). This is used to determine the TVOC concentration, IAQ rating, and estimated carbon dioxide Excellent for low-voltage and low power battery applications (eCO ) level. Alternatively, depending on the operation mode, the 2 No external trimming components required ZMOD4410 algorithm can discriminate between sulfur-based odors External reset pin (active-LOW) or generate a control signal, which can trigger actions based on Siloxane resistant total odor levels. With its low operating current consumption in Low Power Operation Mode, the ZMOD4410 is an excellent choice for RoHS compliant low-voltage and low power battery applications. Built-in nonvolatile Supply voltage: 1.7V to 3.6V memory (NVM) stores the module configuration and calibration Package: 12-LGA data. Water and dustproof version available (IP67 certified) Available assembly sizes: Typical Applications 3.0 3.0 0.7 mm (standard version) Indoor air monitoring 3.0 3.0 0.9 mm (for IP67 version) Monitor home, office, personal, and bathroom environments for healthy conditions and comfort ZMOD4410 Application Circuit Detect hazardous materials and unhealthy conditions (e.g., fumes from construction materials) V VSS SUPPLY VSS Automation based on indoor ambient air quality (HVAC, air purifiers, thermostats, kitchen hoods, etc.) Power VDDIO Supply VDDH VDD Available Support ZMOD4410 Evaluation Kit ZMOD4410 SDA Manuals, application notes, blog, and white papers Gas Sensor Module SCL Algorithms Instructional videos Post-Processing INT Programming libraries, example codes, and RES N algorithm support to optimize performance Third-party certification for compliance with well-accepted international IAQ standards and best available technology for eCO2 2021 Renesas Electronics Corporation 1 June 30, 2021 ZMOD4410 Datasheet Contents 1.
