The A4990 dual motor driver for Arduino is a compact breakout board for the Pololu A4990 dual motor driver and is meant to be used let roboticists control two bidirectional DC motors with an Arduino or compatible board. The board connects directly to the Arduino's I/O header, bypassing any need for a separate motor controller board. It is capable of driving two brushed DC motors with 1.2 A continuous current each, with peak currents of 3.2 A per channel. The board provides a wide 6 V-28 V operating voltage range, yet comes in at a mere 11 mm x 24 mm. It is easy to use, with only two control lines required to send commands to regulate motor speed, a convenient screw terminal for motor connections, and jumper selection of channel direction.
