SmartZone G5 Serial Communication Cable SPECIFICATION SHEET specifications SmartZone G5 The G5 Serial Communicatoin cable (RJ45-DB9) is used to Serial Communication Cable establish a serial connection between a computer and iPDU. This cable enables data center administrators to perform basic Serial Communication Cable: MA001 management tasks over the Command Line Interface (CLI). technical information Attached Cable Length: Supplied with 11.8 inches 30cm cable terminating in RJ45 socket *Mounting hardware not included key features and benefits RJ45 Connection Utilizes an RJ45 plug and DB9 connection to a computer and iPDU applications The SmartZone Serial Communication Cable (RJ45-DB9) is used to establish a serial connection between a computer and iPDU. Simply connect the RJ45 end of the serial communication cable into the Serial+RS485-1 port on the iPDU. Connect the DB9 end of the cable into the serial port (COM) on a computer. Note: A DB9 serial to USB connection cable may be required, depending on hardware configuration. Then, use the connected computer to open a communications program such as HyperTerminal or PuTTY.
