The SF4C-F15 is a FPC-type camera module released by Panasonic. It is a 6-megapixel BSI (backside illumination) imaging module with a 1/3.07-inch sensor size. It is equipped with a 4.3-millimeter ultra-wide-angle lens, implementing “Casted into Pixel” technology. This technology uses an adapted mechanical sheet filter, to shape the pixels. It also helps to realize improved image quality, while suppressing image aberrations such as jello effect, colour shading and moire. The Sony Exmor RS CMOS image sensor with a pixel size of 1.25-micrometer helps to deliver improved sensitivity, even in low light conditions. The SF4C-F15 has a built-in face-detection AF (auto focus) driver, for accurately tracking subject movement, and for generating precise autofocus.
