The Panasonic FD-S21 is a fibre-optic sensor with a range of 0 to 80 mm, designed for diffuse reflective operation. It has a precision triangulation method for detecting the object and has a wide angle that provides superior detection ranges. The Sensor has a long sensing distance and a fast response. This sensing distance can be adjusted to optimize the distance of the target. It also has an LED indicator to show the operation state. The FD-S21 is suitable for applications in industrial automation and detection of targets in hostile environments.
