The CX-422-Z photoelectric sensor is a non-contact sensing device manufactured by Panasonic. It has a detection range of 0 to 0.8 m with a PNP output. It has a Dark-ON, Light-ON response mode, which means it will detect an object if it is in the dark and not detect an object if it is in an illuminated space. It has a maximum current draw of 100 mA.
