Optosupply's OSK1039A-IR is an infrared emitting diode with a peak wavelength of 940 nm. This diode is ideal for design of optical sensing and photonic devices such as active infrared sensors, photo-transistor switch, remote control, and so on. The device is housed in an SMT type package and is made with a special infrared absorbing material that increases the radiation efficiency of the device. It features an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 °C and a wide optical radiation angle of 30 degrees. Additionally, this device has a low forward current of 10 mA, a reverse voltage of 5 V, and a long service life of up to 10 years.
