NCP1339 High-Voltage, Quasi- Resonant Controller featuring Valley Lock-Out and Power Saving Mode www.onsemi.com The NCP1339 is a highly integrated quasiresonant flyback controller capable of controlling rugged and highperformance offline power supplies as required by adapter applications. With an 14 integrated active Xcap discharge feature and power savings mode, 1 the NCP1339 can enable noload power consumption below 10 mW SOIC14 NB for 45 W notebook adapters. (LESS PIN 13) The quasiresonant currentmode flyback stage features a D SUFFIX proprietary valleylockout circuitry, ensuring stable valley switching. CASE 751AN th This system works down to the 6 valley and toggles to a frequency foldback mode to eliminate switching losses. When the loop tends to force below 25kHz frequencies, the NCP1339 skips cycles to contain MARKING DIAGRAM the power delivery. 14 To help build rugged converters, the controller features several key NCP1339xG protective features: an internal brownout, a nondissipative Over Power AWLYWW Protection for a constant maximum output current regardless of the 1 input voltage, a latched overvoltage protection through a dedicated pin.
