The MC33262DR2G with Power Factor Correction (PFC) Critical Mode PFC w/OVP manufactured by ON Semiconductor is a power factor controller with overvoltage protection designed for high efficiency isolated application. This integrated circuit features a broad input voltage range from 4.0 V to 36V. It is designed to improve the conversion efficiency of LED lighting applications and converters operating with wide input voltage ranges.The device implements critical mode PFC, which provides high efficiency with minimum input power rippling. Additionally, this device features independent overvoltage protection (OVP) with a programmable overtemperature latch-off as well as soft start. It is available in a 4-pin SOIC package for improved efficiency and flexibility in application design.
