FPF2495 IntelliMAX 28 V Over-Voltage, Over-Current Protection Load Switch with Adjustable Current-Limit Control September 2014 FPF2495 IntelliMAX 28 V, Over-Voltage, Over-Current Protection Load Switch with Adjustable Current-Limit Control Features Description V : 2.5 V~5.5 V The FPF2495 advanced load-management switch IN targets applications requiring a highly integrated 28 V Absolute Ratings at V OUT solution. It disconnects loads powered from the DC Current Capability: 2 A power rail (<6 V) with stringent off-state current targets and high load capacitances (<100 F). The Adjustable Current Limit: 0.05 A ~ 2 A (Typ.) FPF2495 consists of a slew-rate controlled low- 0.1 A~2 A with 10% Accuracy impedance MOSFET switch (100 m maximum) and < 0.1A with 15% Accuracy integrated analog features. The slew-rate controlled turn-on characteristic prevents inrush current and the R : Maximum 100 m at 5 V and 1 A I ON IN OUT resulting excessive voltage droop on power rails. FPF2495 has over-voltage protection and over- Output OVP: Min.=5.6 V, Typ.=5.8 V, Max.=6 V temperature protection. No Output Discharge During Off State The FPF2495 has a True Reverse-Current Blocking Open-Drain OCP on FLAGB (TRCB) function that obstructs unwanted reverse current from V to V during ON and OFF states. Thermal Shutdown OUT IN The exceptionally low off-state current drain (<2 A Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO) maximum) facilitates compliance with standby power requirements. The input voltage range operates from True Reverse-Current Blocking (TRCB) 2.5 V to 5.5 V to support a wide range of DC Logic CMOS IO Meets JESD76 Standard for applications in consumer, optical, medical, storage, GPIO Interface and Related Power Supply portable, and industrial-device power management. Requirements Switch control is managed by a logic input (active HIGH) capable of interfacing directly with low-voltage ESD Protected: control signal / General-Purpose Input / Output Human Body Model: >2 kV (GPIO) without an external pull-down resistor.
